Who do you work with?

Our target groups are sex workers (m/f), transgenders, msm, clients, brothel owners, professionals (health/social service workers etc). Also politicians, policymakers and police.

How are sex workers involved in your organisation?

A former sex worker is part of the team, she is also a board member of the ICRSE. We have sex workers and sex worker organisations in our network. We develop projects and programmes on national and international level for and together with sex workers and sex work organisations.

Which of NSWP priority areas does your organisation work on?
Oppose the criminalisation and other legal oppression of sex work and support its recognition as work
Critique the trafficking paradigm that conflates representations of sex work, migration, and mobility
Advocate for universal access to health services, including primary health care, HIV and sexual and reproductive health services
Speak out about violence against sex workers, including violence from police, institutions, clients, and intimate partners, while challenging the myth that sex work is inherently gender-based violence
Oppose human rights abuses, including coercive programming, mandatory testing, raids and forced rehabilitation
Challenge stigma and discrimination against sex workers, their families and partners, and others involved in sex work
Advocate for the economic empowerment and social inclusion of sex workers as sex workers
What are the two main challenges that the sex workers you work with face

On the national level, the new prostitution law is accepted by the parliament. This law means the mandated registration by sex workers, criminalisation of clients, age level increased from 18 to 21. This means that sex workers will be more stigmatised and discriminated, they will be criminalised and will be more excluded from health and social services.
On international level sex workers face the same exclusion, stigma and discrimination, but also violence, abuse and blackmail.
