Female sex workers, their clients and HIV affected women.

How are sex workers involved in your organisation?

Sex workers are involved in the planning, developing and evaluation of campaigns and projects. They are also the initiators of the projects. Very often sex workers are involved as trainees. Sex workers are peer educators. It helps reach sex workers who do not normally come to the office. Sex workers act as peer educators when they refer clients to the health service.

Which of NSWP priority areas does your organisation work on?
Advocate for universal access to health services, including primary health care, HIV and sexual and reproductive health services
What are the two main challenges that the sex workers you work with face

Sex work is criminalised and stigmatised in Lithuania; there is a gap with regard to medical and social needs of sex workers. Due to this situatuion sex workers have no access to medical and social services. There is no national health programme providing free social, psychological and medical support to sex workers, on an anonymous and confidential basis. Due to the lack of NGO's funding it is not possible to provide the service regularly.
