NSWP is running a parallel event at CSW65 (Committee on the Status of Women) with the Sex Worker Inclusive Feminist Alliance (SWIFA).
Inclusive Feminist Perspectives on Meaningful Involvement of Sex Workers takes place online on 17th March at 4:30 PM GMT (12:30 EST, 18:30 EET, 19.30 EAT, 23.30 ICT and 03.30 – 18th March – AEDT). The event will be in English with Russian translation.
Feminist movements and sex worker rights movements are aligned in campaigning for womens’ agency and bodily autonomy, for freedom from violence and discrimination, for rights at work and to work. Yet sex workers voices are often denied in public-life, to the detriment of the empowerment of all women. Representatives from feminist and sex worker organisations will explore how meaningful involvement and working together can enhance sex workers participation in public life and advance gender equality and social justice for all women.
