Who do you work with?

Awaken Resistance, are established as in representing to provide our inclusive collective development building meaningful participation as a local initiative peer-community led movement. That're works along not only among Singapore drugs user community but also to coordinate for a cohort of an articulate constructive discussion whilst encoraged other local minority and marginalized community such as sex workers, LGBTQ, PUD. WWUD and people who have been mass-incarcerated for miscellaneous drugs use criminal offences and drugs trafficking, including sex work rights to a safe space sex work environment.

How are sex workers involved in your organisation?

Awaken Resistance, is a people-centric community-led collective movement. We are based in Singapore, our ultimate aims is to challenge against the parochialism and pathological liars in spreading on sex work and drug use informative news, as well as to promote and call for an international standard best-practices framework mechanism of an human rights-based approach community intervention programs to a national level, to conduct on Singapore first campaign movement for the pledge alliance petition to c Where our goals objective is to envision for an adequate and flexibilities drugs legislitive policy, active drugs user sex worker, active drugs user person including their immediate family as well as their children shall not be exposed or pepeatuate to any of State-sponsor punitive drug policy sanctions as well as sex work policy and to champion in urging for an immediate stops against any inhumane and derogatory drug policy and sex work policy.

Oppose the criminalisation and other legal oppression of sex work and support its recognition as work
Critique the trafficking paradigm that conflates representations of sex work, migration, and mobility
Advocate for universal access to health services, including primary health care, HIV and sexual and reproductive health services
Speak out about violence against sex workers, including violence from police, institutions, clients, and intimate partners, while challenging the myth that sex work is inherently gender-based violence
Oppose human rights abuses, including coercive programming, mandatory testing, raids and forced rehabilitation
Challenge stigma and discrimination against sex workers, their families and partners, and others involved in sex work
Advocate for the economic empowerment and social inclusion of sex workers as sex workers
What are the two main challenges that the sex workers you work with face

Singapore sex worker faces an continuous reprecussion of State-sponsor overlapping systemic-violence harmful exposure displacement setting such as to the national island-wide sex worker/sex work vice-related raids coordinated by the local social security law enforcement, and the direct harmful sex work exposure or engagement such as client that demand an individual sex worker to participate in an drugs-use related activity eventhough majority of Singapore sex worker are not an active drugs user themselves.
