Who do you work with?

We have visited several of brothel houses, where we provided HIV/AIDS awareness. We have been training them for safe sex and substance harms. We provided them with condoms along with water based-lubricants. We also completed a pilot study and analysis of HIV and sexual risk behaviour and drug use.

How are sex workers involved in your organisation?

Sex workers visits us and share with us their problem, they are wanting to come in front of the world openly, due to unfriendly atmosphere for them in Pakistan they are living in behind bars. FSWs comes with new art artists to train them about HIV/AIDS, safe sex and substance harms.

Which of NSWP priority areas does your organisation work on?
Advocate for universal access to health services, including primary health care, HIV and sexual and reproductive health services
Speak out about violence against sex workers, including violence from police, institutions, clients, and intimate partners, while challenging the myth that sex work is inherently gender-based violence
Oppose human rights abuses, including coercive programming, mandatory testing, raids and forced rehabilitation
Challenge stigma and discrimination against sex workers, their families and partners, and others involved in sex work

What are the two main challenges that the sex workers you work with face

Winning the trust of sex workers is very difficult in Pakistan, in the past some organisation analysed their HIV and Sexual risk behaviour and used the information to blackmail them.
Another challenge is the hostile environment sex workers face due to the legislation of Pakistan, Police and other security agencies often harass and vicitimise sex workers.
