With sex work criminalised in almost every country, sex workers’ already precarious situation has been heightened by this public health crisis. NSWP is conducting a survey to enable us to monitor the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sex workers around the world.
We want to hear from sex workers and sex worker organisations about how COVID-19 has impacted them and their communities, and how they are supporting one another during this crisis. We also want to hear from sex workers and sex worker organisations about what governments are doing for the sex worker community at this time – both good and bad!
We will be documenting and reporting to international policy makers about human rights violations, and will do our best to put pressure on national policy makers to ensure the needs of sex workers are not ignored in this pandemic.
We will share stories of solidarity and strength within the sex worker community on the NSWP COVID-19 webpage.
