Las personas trans que ejercenel trabajo sexual tienen una expectativa de vida de 37 anos, a causa de muchos problemas de salud incluyendo 33% de indices de VIH, malnutricion y graves complicaciones por el silicon.
Las trabajadoras sexuales trans son trabajadoras de la calle y el municipio de Quito tiene politicas restrictivas sobre el trabajo sexual en el espacio publico y quiere limpiar las calles del trabajo sexual trans.
Trans sex workers have a life expectancy of 37 years due to many health problems, including a 33% HIV index, malnutrition and severe complications due to silicone.
Trans women sex workers are street-based workers and the municipality of Quito has restrictive policies on sex work in public spaces and wants to clear the streets of trans sex work.

Trabajamos por el empoderamiento, la organizacion politica y la exigencia de derechos de las trabajadoras sexuales trans callejeras de Quito, en particular por condiciones dignas de trabajo. Queremos cambiar la situacion laboral y lograr ingresos dignos para las trabajadoras sexuales trans, lograr insercion economica y cambiar la perspectiva del Municipio de Quito que dirige esfuerzos a limpiar las calles de trabajo sexual trans y ofrecer alternativas para el abandono del trabajo sexual. Formamos alianzas con colectivos feministas y de trabajadoras sexuales mujeres, formamos lideresas trabajadoras sexuales trans, hacemos incidencia politica con autoridades del Municipio de Quito y organizamos charlas de sensibilizacion a la policia. Tambien hacemos trabajo de prevencion de VIH entre pares.
We work for empowerment, political organizing and the rights of trans women sex workers on the streets of Quito, especially for working conditions with dignity. We want to change the labor situation and achieve a dignified income for trans women sex workers, achieve economic insertion and change the municipality of Quito’s perspective which orients its efforts towards cleaning the streets of trans sex work and offering alternatives for abandoning sex work. We create alliances with feminist and women sex worker collectives, we train trans women sex workers as leaders, we put political pressure on authorities of the municipality of Quito and organize sensitivity-training talks with police. We also do peer-based VIH prevention work.
