Is selling sex criminalised?
Selling sex is an administrative offence in Belarus. Sex worker can be sentenced to 15 days or pay a fine of approximately 57 - 190 euro (Article 17.5). If police arrest a sex worker again during the same year - the fine is increased from 285 - 476 euro or another sentence to 15 days.
Is buying sex criminalised?
No
Is organising/managing criminalised?
Yes, brothel keeping, pandering, "pimping" are criminalised (sentence up to 5 years according art 171 of the Criminal Code). 'Drawing into prostitution' or forcing to continue in sex work is also criminalised (art. 171 – 1 of the Criminal Code).
