Become an NSWP member

NSWP member organisations are required to endorse NSWP’s core values and the Consensus Statement on Sex Work, Human Rights, and the Law. Member organisations are also required to respect the NSWP Code of Conduct.

NSWP Members and Associate Members

Organisations can apply to join NSWP as either a full member with voting rights (sex worker-led organisations only) or as an associate member without voting rights (organisations that are not sex worker-led but that aspire to become sex worker-led and who endorse NSWP’s core values).

Supporting Members

NSWP also welcomes applications from international organisations that are not sex work specific but that endorse NSWP’s core values and wish to show solidarity with NSWP. Supporting Members do not have voting rights.

Application process

To apply for NSWP membership, you must download and complete a NSWP Membership Application and Consent Form. Please send the completed form to: membership@nswp.org.

Application forms are forwarded to the regional representatives on the NSWP board for verification and approval. If the organisation is known to the regional representatives, the application may be approved immediately. If the organisation is not known by the regional representative, it is forwarded to the regional network for verification or the NSWP Secretariat may ask for more information about the work and meaningful participation of sex workers in the organisation.
