APNSW's response to Equality now covers APNSW's support for the UN reports the recommend decriminalisation, and notes that Equality Now did not submit a response to the UN consultation.

APNSW go on to highlight that the consent of sex workers should be considered important, including respecting their consent to remain in sex work. They highlight that to eradicate sex work would leave millions of sex workers worldwide without income, and emphasise that far from being a new 'feminist' model, the Swedish model proposed by Equality Now is merely the criminalisation that has been shown again and again to harm sex workers.
