The SEXHUM project (Sexual Humanitarianism: Migration, Sex Work and Trafficking) has published the SEXHUM Policy Making Report with policy recommendations on migration, sex work and trafficking globally and in Australia, France, New Zealand and the US.

Between October 2016 and September 2020, the project studied the relation between migration, sex work and trafficking by analysing migrants’ own understandings and experiences of migration, work, exploitation and trafficking. Its main aim is to produce new concepts and data reflecting the perspectives and priorities of migrant sex workers in order to develop more efficient and ethical policies and social interventions addressing their needs.

The report urges for the full decriminalisation of sex work, access to labour rights and work visas for migrant sex workers and anti-trafficking efforts to be separated from anti-migration and anti-sex work agendas.
