FADA is a Sex Workers led organisation founded by Sex workers for sex workers in Rwanda. FADA works with female, male, Trans sex workers to improve livelihoods and health for sex workers as well as combating all forms of gender based violence and discrimination.
75% are sex workers and they make decisions, be it implementing, planning or conducting programmes. They organise themselves to deal with issues that affect sex workers in Rwanda.
Stigma and discrimination from the health facilities, the society even from the sex workers’ community and want to overcome so that there will be unity.
Also the punitive laws that criminalise sex workers in Rwanda.
They also face violence from each other, their clients, even their partners.
Sensitizing the community, the health care workers about sex workers’ issues so that we will be able to engage other stakeholders or human rights protectors about our issues as sex workers.
